My fumaderm journey

Hi guys, I have bern suffering from psoriasis just over 10 years now. I have been prescribed everything from steroid creams, UV, puva etc. Spending a fortune on this debilitating disease. So after so many different derms I have finally found one who is listening to me!! Might be due to the fact that im seeing him privately, but hey its worth it. So, he has prescribed me Fumaderm which I started yesterday! All good so far just some tingling going on through my body. Il be taking the second tab tonight with dinner. Really find this group so helpful and accommodating!! Will keep you all updated with progress. If anyone has any tips please share them with me as I am nervous after reading up on the side effects. However all the good stories of relief and keeping clear have me motivated to get passed that and keep going. I am getting married in August and really hoping to be clear.

Oooooh getting married in August!!! great preview.
You certainly have the possibility that you are clear by then if Fumaderm, I prefer to say DMF, is working for you.
Very nice that you started your own thread.

Tips are always there. The most well known is having the medication with a meal, and specifically yoghurt should be able to help to pass it through your stomach.
No red wine, no peanuts, nuts are ok but then walnuts for instance, so non roasted nuts.
(I don't keep myself to that, but it is said that it helps)
Take care for lots of Vit D, always helps with psoriasis.
Sunshine is excellent and also de-stressing.

Hi Sarah I'm sure the Fumaderm will work for you it has a high success rate around 70%. So if you can get though the initial side effects which you should be able ,now you are aware of what might happen and the fact that you now know they shouldn't last long should help deal with them
This is the start for you of what I hope will be a clear future. An august wedding  you should be clear well before that ....I look forward to reading of your journey it will be a great help to others and a good record for you to look back on

Hi Sarah best of luck with the Fumaderm ,many people seem to have great results so I will keep my fingers crossed. When in August are you getting married,I got married on the 29th August 1970 which I call tell you that it does not seem 45 years ago. All the best for the treatment and the wedding.

Got to admit I enjoy a glass or two now and again but white wine is better
