I have had psoriasis since I was 17 and as I have said in other posts I have had varying success with all sorts of treatments.
My latest treatment Fumaderm has been very successful keeping my psoriasis at bay, until the last few days.
I have been really stressed with the worry of radiotherapy for my other problem not the psoriasis. Now I have noticed 3 or 4 plaques starting up on my body and arms.
I am hoping this is stress related and a few stiff gins will pull me through..
In the meantime to supplement my Fumaderm I will apply a little dermovate and hope it helps

It's amazing how a bit of stress can cause a psoriasis flare up, you think you're not that bothered but I've found in the past even thinking about my family coming over to visit can cause a small flare up.

I have also known a flare up start within an hour or two of an annoying phone call with our supplier after they accidentally got the wrong number & cut us off, they could'nt reconnect us for 24 Hrs Wall

I always have a tube of products in varying strengths at hand just in case.
#1 Dexeryl.
#2 Silkis.
#3 Dovonex.
#4 Dovobet. (Rarley use it, but it can hit the spot when needed)

Thanks Fred
So it's not just me who's psoriasis flares when stressed, and like you say sometimes you don't think you are stressed and yet when you see the telltale psoriasis spots starting to appear I always think "why now" then on thinking about it I relate it to stress so for the good of my psoriasis I try and stay as laid back as possible .
Another trigger for my psoriasis is throat infections
Every time I used to have a sore throat before my Fumaderm treatment. I found the psoriasis flared up, it has not happened on current treatment

Psoriasis has flared a little, and psoriatic arthritis has become painful in my toes. This is usually one of the first places a flare up starts for me, so it's time to slap on loads of Dovobet.

Thought I would mention it on this thread as I've been feeling a bit stressed out the last week do to my visit to the hospital. Now I have come out of it with a good result it should go back down again, but just goes to prove that stress can cause a flare up.

Psoriasis Score gone from 7 to 11

I get miniature flares when I am stressed. My PsA gets worse when I get stressed. I can literally feel the blood flow in my hands. Just a weird feeling.

Yes extremely stressed and will be for the next 4 weeks that's what I put it down to,
To be honest the cellar threats aren't helping much eek

Interesting, it would be good if others would post if they noticed a flare-up with an increase in their stress levels. It's been well documented that stress does increase the chance of a flare-up and although your own experience agrees, you do sometimes wonder if it's just you.

Maybe we should look into giving the cellar a lick of paint to brighten it up. Wink
