Great news Jim, you could do with some of that with all what Mrs Jim has been going through.
Can I ask how long do you need to take the hormone injections? (Tue-03-05-2016, 12:42 PM)Fred Wrote: Great news Jim, you could do with some of that with all what Mrs Jim has been going through. Thanks Fred yes I was happy with my results and I hope the ones I had taken today will show good results The hormone injections which are to stop the testosterone feeding the cancer should finish at the end of this year as I had my radiotherapy starting In January 2014 and they told me it was for three years ....I want to finish as they play hell with my emotions

This morning I was at the GP surgery for my 3 monthly PSA ( prostate specific antigen) blood test and hormone injection. The doctor told me the the next injection would be my last big happy face to hear that......and the blood test shows the antigen as undetectable still which is brilliant news it means my prostate is behaving itself with no sign of the cancer returning
Also been for my monthly Fumaderm blood test and my levels are still good, my skin is still virtually clear after over 4 years on Fumaderm ... Still on 4 tablets a day but I have noticed a couple of plaques on the edge of my scalp which I have used a little dermovate gel on, I'm not overly concerned about them with the summer hopefully arriving it should give my system a boost May levels Neutrophils 4.53 Lymphocytes 1.42 So an improvement on last month ....I'm happy with those results my kidney and liver functions were good and within normal levels..I won't bore you with all the figures But kidney function >90 Creatinine level 71 (normal is 64-104] All other readings are in the middle of normal Booked my next hormone injection for my prostate cancer for next November ...

Great results, Jim. The cancer especially. I would hope that your specialist sees the sense in keeping you on Fumaderm: A great result without side effects (How hard is that to find?). Really good lymphocyte count too. What is your secret?
