Thanks Bill and Fred for your comments, it may well be a combination of reasons for a low blood count. But I thought try a reduction for a month and see what happens if psoriasis starts up I will of course up my dose but I feel confident that I can maintain a clear skin even on a reduced dose.

Today I am two weeks into my reduced dose of Fumaderm down to two 120 mg tablets a day and still no sign of psoriasis coming back. Going for a blood test tomorrow ,get the results in about a week, hopefully my lymphocyte count will be up but I will try to stick with my reduced. dose as long as there is no or very little sign of psoriasis returning

It is certainly good to hear that you are enjoying some success with Fumaderm. It changed my life in that one daily 120 mg maintenance dosage is keeping me 100% clear. For me, it is unbelievable in that I suffered for +30 years with 20% of my body covered with plaque Psoriasis. I will maintain the maintenance dosage as I always fear the return of Psoriasis, which would require subscribing to the entire program again so to err on the side of caution seems comforting.

Good luck with the injections and your continued Fumaderm treatment.

Hi William
I was just reading back some of your posts and I never noticed before, or it passed over my head RE: Fumaderm
You said there are problems importing into the US so now I am assuming that you are from America.. Could be reading it wrong.
If you are and the insurance is paying for your treatment I would be interested to know the cost of Fumaderm and I trust it is still working on your low maintenance dose.

I also find it strange that it is not available generally in America as it is such an effective treatment Thumb

Even more strange, as BIOGEN is the owner, and as they are producing tecfidera for MS at the same time.
It is all about the money. :(

What a shame we don't live in an ideal world where there wasnt so much greed, all companies need profit to exist and money for research and development but it's plain to see mostly its about how much they can get away with charging Huh

Hi Caroline,

You can always make it yourself with instructions readily available on the internet (by courtesy of your favourite pharmaceutical company), as I eventually will if the drug keeps working. With equipment costs the first kilogram would cost about $300 US.

Cheers,

Bill

Although what you do scares me, it is probably safer than some of the other " cures " I have read elsewhere. And a whole lot cheaper
Keep up the good work I'm sure others when they read your story will be tempted to have a go

Hi Jim,

No, "scary" is taking prescribed methotrexate. The method described seems simple, safe and predictable. Thank you Biogen!

Cheers,

Bill
