I'm afraid Caroline is correct tattoos are permanent and for life. they only put a small mark each side of your thighs and one in a fairly private place that not many people have seen. I asked if they could put a little fish each side and an anchor in the middle they were not impressed.
Knife will be if this doesnt work

Back on topic
Saw the dermatologist today. She was pleased to see I was still clear(ish) we discussed reducing the dose but after a bit of discussion and the fact my bloods were good it was decided to stay on the same dose until my other treatment ended as reducing the dose at this time of stress will not be helpful, so will try to reduce it when my radiotherapy is finished, then we can see if my psoriasis comes back it is because the dose is to low
I asked if there was any hint that Fumaderm might be stopped and replaced by the expensive drug used for MS but she was not aware of any changes
So the plus side is I stay on Fumaderm Thumb with monthly blood checks.
I was sure they were going to stop my prescription today but I have a reprieve. So I'm all smiles Big Grin
Managed to spread a few flyers for the club at the hospital Angel

It is certainly good to hear that you are enjoying some success with Fumaderm. It changed my life in that one daily 120 mg maintenance dosage is keeping me 100% clear. For me, it is unbelievable in that I suffered for +30 years with 20% of my body covered with plaque Psoriasis. I will maintain the maintenance dosage as I always fear the return of Psoriasis, which would require subscribing to the entire program again so to err on the side of caution seems comforting.

Good luck with the injections and your continued Fumaderm treatment.

Thanks William you are right Fumaderm does change your life instead of constantly covering up and putting on creams. You can lead the same lifestyle as most other people. As you say you are always fearful of its return which is why I don't want to reduce my dose yet. I hope some day I can get onto a maintenance dose like yours, something to look forward to
I wish you continued success with Fumaderm and hope one day it will be available elsewhere for sufferers around the world Thumb

An article on tattoos.

My opinion, the motivations in the article against are crap. I don't care if someone has them, personally I find them esthetically ugly, no other thoughts around it.

Just a brief update on my general health in connection with this thread.
My initial query on here was did anyone know if it was safe to take Fumaderm with hormone tablets that I was prescribed for my prostate cancer.
I was getting conflicting messages from my dermatology department. We did after discussion decide to keep on with the Fumaderm and keep a close watch on my bloods on a monthly basis.
Well it is three months on now.
I have had 2 of my 3 monthly hormone injections (Prostap) I have had 30 of the 37 radio therapy treatments, and apart from a small flare 3 weeks ago the psoriasis has remained under control (psoriasis score 5) but I think it is a low 5.
Just had a meeting with my oncologist today he has told me we will have to wait at least another 8 weeks to see if my PSA (Prostate-specific Antigen) level is down, he seemed quite happy with the treatment to date.
My blood results came in within the normal range from the dermatology department.

So anyone else going through similar dilemma, do ask questions if they want to stop a successful treatment, ask on what grounds. And don't accept that they just don't know as a reason

Ps my oncologist has psoriasis so passed him a psoriasis club card, he may just pop in Thumb

Just had my last radiotherapy just got to wait and see now as to how successful it has been, fingers crossed. Got to keep on with the hormone injections for next 2.5 years with regular blood tests.
No major effect on the psoriasis as my little flare has gone away, still getting flushes. Not sure now after speaking to others having the same treatment whether it's the Fumaderm or hormone injections causing them.
Small price to pay for peace of mind.
Had another blood test for Fumaderm suitability today should get results next week

Anyway, good luck from my side. I will pray to the Flying Spaghetti Monster for good results.
The flushes must be from the Fumaderm, it is well known with the use of DMF.
