Well... I wonder then what is so special on that medication. As the basic DMF is the working substance, which is relatively cheap.
A course of DMF over here does not cost more than 1.5K a year. Ask Jim, his FD is probably also not so costly.
The FDA should take a look at this.

The cost is based fair market value, not what it costs to produce. All of the MS drugs are 45K - 60k USD. So 55k USD is what they went with. Milk anyone with chronic illness.

Got an interesting day tomorrow as I have to see my dermatologist it will be interesting to see my blood count. To see if my hormone injections are messing with the Fumaderm . I doubt it but must wait and see
After the stressfull few days I have had up and down to the hospital 4 times to get scanned and tattooed before my radio therapy begins. Each time until this afternoon I have failed 3 previous attempts as I was under hydrated
I have poured so much water down my neck to hydrate myself (it's a requirement for my treatment detail not pleasant so will skip over that) I feel like a mobile water fountain.
I am told I must drink 2 litres of water a day till the end of treatment at the end of February. I am also told to restrict alcohol Thumbsdown
I am surprised with the stress of this I have not had a big psoriasis flare up. But no change
Just One split thumb nail and a small spot on my inner thigh, which just won't go away.

Jim I'm confused why do they tattoo you ?

You can also spill the beans on the unpleasant bit, I don't mind unpleasant as long as it's not happening to me. Smile

Well on a positive note all that water will help the psoriasis, good luck with tomorrow Thumb

Tattoo will enable them to align me on the radio therapy bed as it's targeted therapy and they don't want to damage any other organs so precise measurements are required, that why it took 4 attempts to makes sure my bowels were empty and my bladder was full. Only then would they tattoo me and say I now have to be like this, fully hydrated for each visit every day for treatment.
Quite scary really but hey oh it's out of my hands.

Oh I see, so they just go to exactly the same place each time you need treatment. Will the tattoos have to stay for ever or are they temporary?

Sorry to go off topic I'm just curious as I thought you was going under the knife.

Me neither, but you can get temporary ones I think.

Than it is not called a Tattoo. You can use henna for temporary "kind-of" tattoos.

Well they could use Magic Marker it lasts a long time but will wear out eventually.
