I have wondered if the location of the exterior/skin psoriasis i.e. elbows, knees, fingers, toes etc. actually pinpoint/locate the area(s) of psoriatic/rheumatoid arthritis. Kind of a way for the immune system to notify us of impending or actual problem areas. Your comments please.

The jurry is still out there on that one... I know that people with PsA have a higher instances nail/scalp psoriasis. From my experience... don't get psoriasis mixed up with joint inflammation. My hip hip had inflammation and many thought it was my psoriasis, but it was joint information.

PsA shows itself in the pain in the little joints, like fingers and toes. Your fingers may get swollen and you will get sore feet. Running will become impossible because of the pain in your feet.

I suffer with Psoriatic Arthritis worst in my toes, and they do tend to flare up with Psoriasis when the PsA is at it's worst.

However I also have PsA in the following with different flare ups of psoriasis.

Ankles: A little psoriasis flare up.
Knees: No psoriasis flare ups.
Hips: No psoriasis flare ups.
Back: Psoriasis flared up like crazy when I could feel PsA in my back.
Shoulders: No psoriasis flare ups.
Elbows: The odd psoriasis flare up.
Wrists: No psoriasis flare ups.
Fingers: The knuckles used to split and bleed like hell.
Neck: No psoriasis flare ups.

Like Mataribot and Caroline said, I used to get very very bad nail psoriasis especially in my toes (they used to fall off), I also had very bad scalp psoriasis, and my toes and fingers would go like huge red sausages.

BUT all is well for me know (apart from a little PsA when it's damp) thanks to a great dermatologist, a fantastic health system, and Stelara.
