You may want to review your preference.

Aqueous cream ingredients:

Liquid hydrocarbons
White soft paraffin wax
Purified water
Emulsifying wax containing sodium lauryl sulphate
Cetostearyl alcohol
Chlorocresol

Sodium laurel sulphate and sodium laureth sulphate are two different things are they not? The SLS that should be avoided is a foaming agent. As far as I'm aware, anyway.

Mmmmmmmmm interesting I've just a quick look on Wikipedia but still can't make my mind up.

*Not to be confused with Sodium lauryl sulfate.

Sodium laureth sulfate (SLS), or sodium lauryl ether sulfate (SLES), is an anionic detergent and surfactant found in many personal care products. Its chemical formula is CH3(CH2)10CH2(OCH2CH2)nOSO3Na.

*Sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS or NaDS), sodium laurilsulfate or sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) is an organic compound with the formula CH3(CH2)11SO4Na. It is an anionic surfactant used in many cleaning and hygiene products.

Sorry Simon it's gone over my head, so I'll leave you or someone else to try and work it out.

This post made me do a little research. Looks like I'm wrong - sorry Fred.

"SLS is often confused with a related cleaning chemical called sodium laureth sulfate, or SLES, which is used for similar purposes."

There are few, if any products on the high street, it seems, that do not contain either SLS or SLES unless anyone has any suggestions?

No need to apologise Simon we are all about learning from each other, and I would rather learn from people with psoriasis than those in the white coats that say they know better than us.

I must admit I found it a bit over my head and I have been preoccupied with other things so didn't have the time to fully look into it, have you thought of giving Coconut Oil a try for a natural moisturiser? I'm a big fan of it's properties and there is nothing nasty in that.
