Well hello again. Big Grin
Coming up to the 6 week mark and am getting a few pustules now.
I can't complain as it has been a blast for a while.
Had a holiday in Scotland visiting relatives and exploring haunted Edinburgh.
Found a really nice, supportive social group here in Ye Olde York that I plan to keep popping into.
Plus I've bagged myself a free place on a mindfulness/creative writing course too.
I'll also be volunteering one day a week. I daren't commit to any more until I see how things pan out.
Even if it all takes a mile of cling film and taxis, I'm not going to get into that mind numbing, isolated misery of the past. Thumb
Question is, how long can I hold out before I cave in to the meds again??? Confused
And I'm cashing in that free haircut. My hair is still coming out and it's driving me mad. It gets everywhere. I've even taken to wearing a headscarf when cooking. So it's a short crop for me!
In other news, the Pa In Law has sold his house and put an offer in on one near us. And he plans to offload his car onto us. Thumb
Cannot wait to start driving lessons but that looks like it will be in October as finances have taken a battering (Scotland trip, school holidays, new uniforms etc).
So......what y'all been up to?

Hi Brighteyes,

Seems you are ... reasonably ok, and not back in hell. Smile

In the mean time I have been visiting London, two weeks ago. A very nice trip, great weather while at the same time in the Netherlands lots of trees came down due to quite a storm, was happy to see my home still standing.
In London walked 28.000 steps on one day. Next day another 18.700. So I had my part.
It is those times that I can very well feel my PsA in my feet. So the next days I had to deal with some sore feet and also a small infection with my toes apparently, but that's solved again.

Furthermore it's going fine. The weather is growing better, which is always good for my total condition.

Hi Brighteyes ..
Great 6 weeks at an important time being able to enjoy family during the school holidays .... Just don't let it get too bad before you cave in to the meds ....... Don't get to the point where it's all consuming and starts the downward spiral.....
Getting the car will give you a boost ( when you get your lessons )
Note to self  (avoid the roads in Yorkshire for the foreseeable future)
Enjoy the rest of the holiday period
I know I am enjoying the summer sharing my time between 4 grandchildren  Thumb

So, a lot has happened in 7 months.
I'm going to have to re-read my own post to see exactly where I was up to but I can tell you where I've been.
I had a breakdown and Nick left me. Circumstances have forced me to pull my boy out of school and educate him at home.
I'm just coming through a cycle of grief, insomnia and self medication which has triggered yet another psoriasis relapse (no surprise really).
It's now coming up to April and things are (only just) beginning to look and feel better.
Hello again.  Smile

Hi Brighteyes,

I must say, your life is certainly not the most obvious and easy one. We all have our portion, but you have quite a lot of it.
So it is good to read that it's going to feel and look a bit better for you.
I hope this will continue, and I welcome you back again.
Smile

Hi Brighteyes good to see you back, shame it's in such circumstances.......sorry about your breakdown and split up  Sad
No wonder your psoriasis has flared again...I'm glad things are at last starting to look up for you and you are getting your life back together

It's a big move teaching your son at home but I'm sure you will do a great job of teaching him. One to one teaching will be good for him, and keep your mind active as well
I hope you will come back often for some grown up chat, it's good to have you back

Hey one of my old buddies.  Smile

Good to see you again Brighteyes, sorry it's not been good for you. But I'm pleased to see that you still know we are here for you should you ever need us. I've told you before that you were a big asset to Psoriasis Club and have helped a lot of people in the past, so if we can pay you back with a bit of support then we will do so.

If it's of any help I would have no fear of you self educating your son, as I know you well enough to know that he will be getting a good education.

Welcome back, and you know we are here for you.

I'm still on MTX, yes.
It's been a bit up and down (like everything else lately) but I'm at the tail end of another relapse and housebound again. Hoping to be able to get outside again in April. Big Grin
