Could be a game changer!
Great news that will give you a challenge. And something positive to aim for Thumb
Have you ever driven before?

I took driving lessons about 20 years ago but ,when it came to doing the test, my then husband pulled the plug on it.
He didn't want me to become 'too independent' (his words). Angry
Probably shouldn't admit this but, when he worked nights, I would take the kids to school in the car whilst he slept. School was an hours walk there and back so it saved me a lot of time. He never knew. :-)

And as Fred says " we appreciate you as well " Clap Bigarm

Driving is one of those things that you never forget once you have done it so you will be fine though I must admit the thought of driving in York would send me nuts. You have more tourists than we have here in Brid, the new test is quite different now as I believe that you have to follow instructions from a satnav. Best of luck ,what sort of car are you looking to learn in ?

I was debating about driving an automatic as it may be easier on my feet. No idea about what make of car. To me I just want something small, reliable, cheap to run/maintain and with 4 wheels. Big Grin
Yep....driving in York is a nightmare but, given how much I am missing out on and all the taxi fares I've wasted, I think it would work out. Besides, I could get to the coast and countryside on a regular basis too (sunshine, sea air, bit of culture and fish 'n' chips). Thumb

Yes a little automatic would be easier on your feet. I would get a common brand like Ford or Vauxhall as they can be fixed by most garages, it will liberate you and enable those trips out ....
Methinks better pass your test first though  Big Grin
I'm glad I took my test back in the dark ages.before the written test came in Big Grin

The only problem with taking your test in an automatic is that's all you can drive ,if you take the test in a manual car then you can get an automatic if you want but you do have the flexibility to choose. Have a look at Kia when you have passed your test as they have 7 year warranty so there is usually quite a lot of warranty left if you deicide to buy second hand . We have great fish and chips here in Brid , I will wave on Friday when I go down the A64 York bypass on my way tp Pinderfields hospital in Wakefield.

Brighteyes, I drive a manual car and don't feel it affects my ppp at all. The only annoyance is when my foot starts to itch if I'm stuck in traffic Angry

It's been a crappy couple of weeks folks.
Recurring throat infections, terribly sore, bleeding gums.
Had to chase up my meds AGAIN!!! Angry
Had to pay for a new front door (long story, will tell it later, but quite funny really).
Been sleep deprived which has led back to anxiety.
Still losing weight.
Feet not getting any worse but still not getting me mobile to the point where cyclosporine did.
Feeling Wall
