HI there

I am new to this and found it by chance.

I am struggling at the age of 35 with psoriasis and its killing my self esteem, especially when I am so sociable and out there.
Does this Bicarbonate of soda work?

I went and bought a packet of it today and I currently have it on one spot on my arm to test.

I would really appreciate some feedback. Thanks

Scott

Other places you could look for answers and suggestions is

If you look at The anti-inflamatory food pyramid it may be of interest as it will give some suggestions on diet

These are always in my cupboard at home. I shall have to give this a go! Smile

A week ago, I took a bath everyday that contained half a cup of baking soda and a glass of milk mixed with 2 tsp of olive oil. It's a stretch too far to say that it 'got rid' of my psoriasis, but it definitely took the scale off, and all the patches on my back felt smoother and less bumpy/raised. I definitely recommend adding oils to bathwater, stops the skin from drying out as quickly.

The only downside was after the first couple of times, my skin was super itchy. Had to get through work on antihistamines and ibrupofen. Not sure why, maybe it was because my patches were more 'exposed.' Huh

Or maybe it was a reaction to the olive oil? Just a thought .... And yes substitute coconut oil in the place of olive oil .... Worth a try ......if the coconut oil is solid just warm it slightly it soon turns liquid

Always a good idea to try one patch Matt, that way you will have something to compare. I've not tried it myself, but the poll above is showing 41 Yes and 27 No.

Good luck, and yes it would be helpful to others if you posted your results. If you don't want to post images on the public board we do have [Group Specific] board for members only.
