Home light therapy is not something I would recommend, but people do use these lamps ...if you go that route do be very careful the uv is very powerful and you could damage your skin ...that's why it's best controlled at a clinic where the timing and distance from the tubes is controlled
The Acetretin (Soriataine) is a good option for you it is more likely to give you long term clearance and you might not get too many of the side effects ....I think if my current drug was not working, I would give soriataine a go after reading members threads on here, yes there could be side effects .. but for me the risk would be worth it to get long term clearance
This is just my opinion having read a lot about acetretin and in the past having had UV treatment until the hospital said I had had too much in my life ...yes it can clear psoriasis ...but it will usually come back a few weeks or months later and you have to start again
Dead Sea salts are expensive, there are other things in the natural treatments board that might be as beneficial without costing as much see the link Natural Treatments For Psoriasis
I see... Not planning to go to Dead Sea, but salt is available here in the pharmacy, i will give a try if my clinic derma doc will approve it.
As for the lamps - FDA has approved them, so may be i give it a try as well, i cannot be out of work for so many hours - it is three times a week far away from my office...And yes, Acetretin side effects are too scary for me at this moment, will talk with prof PS doc next week (today's visit was not very much useful, she did not even give any observation or check up, just told me the diagnosis and that was it)
