If anyone out there has had the new Shingles virus I would Love to hear your experiences - the good, the bad and the ugly.

Kat and Dave were just talking about it: RE: Flu shot and Stelera *It must not be a live vaccine if you are using a bio.

Hi Hawklight and welcome to our club of fellow (and relations) sufferers. 

Just caught up with your thread and read with interest. Can't help you much with the Cosentyx thing as I have only just managed to get further than Acitretin (that gave me up after a love hate 2 years) only this week.
Not heard of the Shingles Vaccine, will have to look into that one. Here in the UK I have a feeling it's only given to those over a certain age, but I agree with Fred about the Live vaccine thing. Neither should it be administered while on DMARDs.
Don't forget the Bar, there is usually someone there for some idle chat.

Welcome aboard, Hawklight!  I hope you find this group informative and rewarding.  I to0 have experienced some problems with phototherapy.  On the one hand, it helped a lot initially.  On the other hand I received too high a dose for a guy who's out in the sun a lot anyway and it burned my shins enough to get them inflamed and infected.  It months to get them well and looking presentable again.  If you are an outside person in the summer, you'll probably get enough sunshine to help you, but beware a sunburn.  It can be a real set back.  I don't get as much sun in the winter time, so I plan to use phototherapy again this winter, but at very low levels - and my dermatologist has assured me that will be the case.  Carefully administered, I think phototherapy has a valid place in treating most psoriasis.  At least it has for me.  I haven't used any of the new oral meds, so I can't address your questions in that regard.
