Some great advice there. I remember when I first invited a girlfriend back to my flat for coffee, (yes coffee) we had been friends down the pub for a few months. anyway I had always managed to hide psoriasis form people, but that evening I decided to tell her that I had psoriasis and I gave a leaflet my doctor had given me (there was no internet then)
I said you should have a look at this while I make the coffee and off I went to the kitchen. there I was thinking damn what have I done and now I have lost a friend. I left her a while to make sure she had read the leaflet then returned with the coffee, and said well? she replied well what?
The leaflet did you read it? yes she said I did and it doesn't bother me. to cut a long story short it helped me a lot to tell someone that I had psoriasis. I didn't know how she would react but I had done it and it felt good.
That girlfriend was Mrs Fred and we are still together 30 years later.
Oh and yes Humour can help. Just tell your Girl/Boy Friend not to eat any corn flakes they find in the bed in the morning.
Time I went before I get another one of these.
