Good question and I don't know the answer, but a guess would be maybe because the hair follicles are growing out at a faster rate on your scalp than the rest of the body maybe ?
I agree with Fred the scalp psoriasis grows faster on my scalp than on my skin gets so thick then I start picking at my scalp which makes it worse.Sometimes I get it bleeding.
