Your little girls are adorable!
I'd use caution washing your hair that often. Washing hair tends to lessen the natural oils which can lead to dryness, and as you know dryness + psoriasis equals lots of itchiness. I had a prescription oil for my scalp (but I try to stay away from it due to the steroids so I'd try the coconut oil now) and wrapped in a shower cap. It helps the moisturizing. The psoriasis on my scalp nearly drove me bonkers! But washing more didn't help me, in fact I think it hurt and using shampoos for psoriasis or dandruff (which isn't the mildest form of shampooing) only help me now that I'm fairly clear, they really didn't do much for me when things were bad.
Right now I use a little tea tree oil in my regular shampoo and use coconut oil on and behind my ears and along the hairline where I have some (fairly mild in comparison to how it was) psoriasis. It definitely helps with itching, I do still have some flaking I'm not crazy about but it's manageable.
I HATED the scalp psoriasis far more than the other places it appeared, although I didn't care for those either. The itching on my scalp drove me crazy and my ears looked diseased, I also couldn't hide the flaking and had to wear only light colors so it wasn't as noticeable. I hope you get relief soon!
