My psoriasis score has come down dramatically, just need to work on getting my skin moisturised. My whole body feels like parchment paper.
I'm still pretty weak but have a plan to build that up steadily over time with some gentle pilates.
And I'm getting lots of nourishing soups and smoothies ( all freshly made ).
The MTX is still making me feel pretty nauseous the day after I take it but , given what I have been through, I think this is a minor trade off.
However, I am going to continue looking into the alternatives and getting much more vocal about problems than I have been. I don't consider this to be a long term solution.
The hardest battle I have at the moment is with my head. It's constantly drawing up lists of things for me to do/things to catch up on etc. My 'rational side' ( yes, I do have one Fred ) is urging me to take it s l o w l y! I just need to keep listening.
Anyway.....am off to sit outside for 10 minutes in the sunshine ( YES......we have sunshine here oop North ) so will be back later to have another nosey round.
Really glad that you are progressing well ,I think that you will find that the side effects of the MTX will decrease as you go on but do not be tempted to over do it after all you are entitled to a bit of R&R so sit in the sunshine .I live sort of oop north in East Yorkshire and we have had sunshine today though it's still a bit chilly and I am looking forward to more sunshine soon as there is nothing like natural sunshine on your back. You take care and look after yourself MTX is not as bad as it's made out,I was on it for over nine years and because it's been used for so long it does not chuck up any unusual or unknown problems.
