Hello Forest Walker
to Psoriasis Club.
I echo what Kat said above "steroids are not for long term use" they do work but some people get carried away and slap it on without a thought, I also agree with alternating between the steroid and coconut oil. I will also add that it's best to come off slowly if using a topical steroid and don't just stop.
Good to hear Psoriasis Club has been helpful to you and you have decided to join us, none of us a doctors but we certainty know what it's like to live with. Don't hesitate to start new threads with your questions, we have a wide range of members using or have used different treatments and if we don't know we can point you in the right direction.
You will find a friendly bunch and now you are a member you will see more boards for you to use away from psoriasis, I can recommend the [Group Specific] board if you want to get to know some of our members. Be warned though, I'm the only sensible one in there.
Good intro by the way.
Regards.
Fred.
