I'm trying not to think of it in terms of what I'm giving up but rather just temporary modifications that need to be made. Time will tell. I don't want to change my lifestyle either but it was changed for me when I came down with this condition :-)
Things like sugar, alcohol, gluten and bacon will still be there in 12 weeks if I want them and dietary changes show no improvement. Right now they have lost their appeal because of the problems they cause me. The flares are just not worth it.
I'm trying hydrotherapy (colon cleansing) tomorrow. Yes I'm nuts for paying someone to do this to me! Wonder if it will dislodge that Barbie doll shoe I swallowed when I was 7?!
This Acitretin is making me peel so much after just one dose. I hope it levels off!
Yes "temporary modifications" that's a good term for what you are doing, although at the end of your twelve weeks if you are not missing the things you cut out. It would be unwise to go back to your old lifestyle, for fear of triggering another flare.
Hydrotherapy is to aid the clean? I assume ...... why not indeed
( I hope you still have the Barbi doll or the shoe will be useless LMAO)
Good luck with the acetretin, it's doing something to your skin that's good I assume
