My Dermy made a passing remark once about me having Guttate Psoriasis and since coming off Cyclosporine if it is Guttate it has gone rampant particularly on my arms. Everywhere else is the regular plaque PS. Now I am not medically trained but I have to say a topical is next to useless on Guttate. Steroids in particular should not be applied to healthy skin as it will cause skin thinning and applying a cream to hundreds of small red dots is really really impractical. My current flair has been rampant for nearly 2 months now and is showing no signs of receding. It looks like it will take yet another systemic treatment. I have been lined up to try Otezla (Apremilast) having failed on Acitretin, Methotrexate and Cyclosprine, but I will have to wait until at least July as the Dermys are reluctant to start patients on new medications in the current climate of Covid19.
