It may be worth you asking for the pre-filled syringe rather than the pen type injection, I hate those pen things and always ask for the syringe.
Re the sight to inject: The best places are either side of the belly button (more than one inch away from the belly button) pinch an inch of skin and stab it in quickly, then slowly inject. Also I sometimes use the thigh, but find sometimes it can bleed a little.
Also make sure you take it out of the fridge for about 20 mins to 1/2 hour before injecting.
