I'm hoping my dermatoligist can send a fax back to my old dermatoligist stating that i need to be monitered ect. I had different dermatoligits now that i think of it. I once had an acute attack and went to a and e so that i could get back into the system. It was a horrible time. I'm in my early 20's so it's not easy. It looks like ill be using the drug payment card 144 a month(Wed-10-02-2016, 00:40 AM)braye lodge Wrote:(Wed-10-02-2016, 00:22 AM)jiml Wrote: Here's another to read but it tells all about Fumaderm but I can assure you if you can get it and it's not too high a price to pay and you get through the initial side effects you should end up with a clear skin as I have had for getting on for four and a half years I'm guessing
And practically no side effects but you must be monitored
Fumaderm leaflet
You see ive been living in guernsey for 2 years. When i first came i had to go on a waiting list for the dermatolgist. I had previously been on methotrexate and it didnt agree with me. I then went onto cyclosporine which also didnt agree with me. Now on fumaderm over 6months. Its the best its ever been in 12 years. My quailty of life has improved dramatically, but now im worried about the cost of it in ireland. Im also worried that ill have to wait a long time until i see a dermatoligist publicly
Aaaaaaaaaah I see I was assuming you had just started on Fumaderm ... So I don't have to sell you the good points you already know them
I could not get on with methotrexate it was a good drug for clearing but made me feel so ill I had to stop .
My dermatologist told me some time ago that Fumaderm were about £2 a tablet on maximum dose that's around £180 a month .... That's a lot to find each and every month
So have you been getting your Fumaderm in Guernsey up till now?
I don't know the Irish system and how long before you can get to see a dermatologist publicly, hopefully one of our Irish members will know the answer
It's not cheap but I would try to reduce your dose I'm on 4 tablets a day and keep getting a prescription for six a day or is that immoral then you can have a couple of free months a year
