Ya know, guys and gals, I started this weight loss with a goal of losing 140 lbs. Now, it seems very achievable. I put on my work pants (which my employer is having trouble replacing because of supply line issues) and I held them out. There was so much room in them, that I can put my hand sideways between my belly and the pants. That gave me a huge, huge smile!

As this is supposed to be more about psoriasis, I have been remiss in mentioning much about it recently.
Yes, I am losing weight. Yes, EMDR is really helping with the stresses of abuse. I am making progress daily in the stress department I feel. I look at my skin, and see that there is little, if any progress, as far as psoriasis goes. In fact, I think that on my elbows and the underside of my forearms are, dare I say, getting worse? More flaking is present there but thankfully not so much of the itch, which is a relief. My knees have not seen any significant improvement since I started treating with Enstilar. The same is true of my ankles as well as my back. My face, however, has a marked improvement since my son left. For that, I am also thankful. As much as I am not seeing progress in some areas, I am seeing improvements in others, and in others still, there is a maintaining. Do I go see my GP about any other possibilities for medications? Do I shut up and wait for my appointment on Dec. 15th to see the skin specialist? What do you guys think? Cheers, Wintrman

Hi Wintrman,
I don't think your GP has all the knowledge on available treatments. I personally would wait for the skin specialist in December. But....that's me. I found one cream that is extremely soothing. All other creams I tried burn. I put the on my psoriasis before going to bed. Yes, coconut oil is great but....oily. Try Gold Bond Ultimate (Soothing chamomile)

I would wait till December, your GP can't really give you much better than Enstilar.
Tip: I would stop the Enstilar a few weeks before seeing the dermatologist, if they see it not looking too bad they may continue. However if you say Enstilar hasn't worked and you have plenty of psoriasis they are more likely to go the next step. But that is just my opinion and you have decide what is best for you.
