What a difference a month makes.

Been getting a three fingers on my right hand giving me a little bit of lock up and pain. Usually any stiffness soon fades once I get moving around in the morning, but it's still there tonight and has been this past 3 evenings.

I'm going to up the psoriatic arthritis score from 1 to 3.

Also this annoying heat rash type thing keeps coming and going, it does seem to be worse after the shot. So I'm upping the psoriasis score from 4 to 5. Not a big jump as I'm still not sure if it's psoriasis or the Cosentyx causing it.

For reference I have again been getting some dizzy spells. I thing this is the ear crystal problem again, but I can't seem to get them back in place. Dizziness is one of the things I should tell my dermatologist.

Oh and I have an odd blue patch on my right index finger appear yesterday, don't recall hitting it and it's probably not related to Cosentyx but I'll keep a note in my journal.

Appointment next month.

It's a shame fred as cosentyx started so well, I do hope it's nothing lasting and it starts to clear up quickly ....is cosentyx like stelara so you can shorten time between doses and if so do you think it might help ?

The rash is another thing and may not be related to the psoriasis and could just be a heat rash whatever it is it's not good and would be a good idea to show your dermatologist....but I'm sure that's your plan anyway

Hope it all clears up soon

No we tried a different dose, but it made no difference.

She also took a biopsy of the rash thing when I last saw her and said she would call if she wanted me to stop using Cosentyx.

I think I have to start thinking it's failing and look at my options.

Hopefully it's just the winter making it worse and it will clear up in the French spring, Fred!

I would like to think so Artemie, but this is the worse it has been since being on Cosentyx. I started Sept 2016 so this is my 4th winter.  Confused

Also the itchy rash type thing started last summer, so I think I have to start looking at my options.

I am so sorry that you are having problems Fred
Time flies I didn't realize that it was 4 years since you went on the Cosentyx I must have been on Stelara longer than I thought.
I hope that you are in a period of a glitch and it comes around okay again.

I started 1st October 2016 Dave, so not 4 years yet but my 4th winter on it.

I'm still very pleased with it for psoriatic arthritis and the right hand fingers although a little painful are not stopping me doing things as I'm left handed. If it gets no worse I can put up with it, but the psoriasis keeps flaring and this annoying itchy rash type thing keeps coming back.

Appointment on Feb, so will look at continue Cosentyx or switch to Taltz or Tremfya.

I don’t have a lot to add, I just hope it’s not a sign of the drug failing. I’ve gone through quite a few in a fairly short time so maybe 3 to 4 years is quite good?

Thank you TL. Yes I think 3 years is about the best it gets, I did do 6 + years on Stelara but it also tailed off.

It's interesting when you look at this poll: Longest time on a successful treatment for psoriasis
