Thank you TL. Yes I think 3 years is about the best it gets, I did do 6 + years on Stelara but it also tailed off.

It's interesting when you look at this poll: Longest time on a successful treatment for psoriasis

Oh yes I had forgotten that poll, my best was about a year and that was Stelara.

You don't think that you are allergic to something Fred.. Just checked back on that post and it's about 7.5 years on Stelara.

Never had an allergy before, and it does seem to get worse after the shot.

Well if there was something your resistance would be lower after the shot and it may tend to let it break out.

But if I had an allergy I would have noticed it before, I've been on Bio's for well over 10 years.

They took a biopsy at my last appointment and said if they wanted me to stop they would contact me. It's also a training hospital and they have done loads of tests before and never found any allergy's.

The only time I had a problem was with the TNF's Humira especially and had a bad reaction, but I have an appointment next month so we will have to see. But I'm thinking Cosentyx is going the way of Stelara and my body is just getting used to it, so a change may be what is needed.

Watch this space.

Ok I know this is going to sound a bit odd. I have been playing with one of my squidgy balls since getting the right hand finger problem and I'm pleased to say I have the psoriatic arthritis score back down to 1.

I got a couple of hand therapy squidgy balls a few years ago to help me keep my fingers working, and had forgotten about them. I got the hardest one out the other day and have been playing with it as much as possible and it has freed up my fingers.

Yes I had forgotten about them. It suddenly came to me that my left hand was still good because I'm left handed, but as I'm not so busy during the winter in the garden my right hand wasn't doing a lot. So I decided to give it a try and I'm pleased to say it has helped.

That is good that you have found an effective remediation, Fred. Even if your drug is failing you, with the rate of new drug development, I think you will always have something else to try.

Cheers

Yes I still have Taltz and Tremfya available in France and a few more in the pipeline Bill. But I've still yet to find one that rids me of both psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. I doubt I ever will and that is why I prioritise psoriatic arthritis when looking for treatment, it's the one that ruined my life the most and being free is sooooooooo good.
