Welcome to the club.....
I am on acitretin too, low dose though but it seems to be keeping everything at bay at the moment *touch wood*.
Enjoy having a look around, lots of good info on here along with lots of lovely people......

Thank you for the welcome. I've been started on the low dose too and was worried that it would not work. Take hope from your message that it may.

I forgot to ask you if the side effects of acitretin stay the same or do they subside as time goes on. All new to this but hopefully I will be able to answer questions instead of asking all the time.

To be honest I think acitretin affects people in so many different ways, I feel really lucky that it is keeping my psoriasis at bay (for now), but I know others are not so lucky! Not really noticed any significant side effects personally, maybe a dry mouth from time to time but that could be put down to so many other things (I am not a fan of water, so I don't drink nearly enough as I should, more than make up for it with Gin though!! ).
I think you just have to stick with it for a while and see how you go, if you are happy that it is controlling your condition then great but if it isn't after time then there are so many other things out there, so even if it doesn't work, don't give up hope that something will control it.
Good luck with it though and fingers crossed it works sufficiently for you....
