Thanks Fred Thumb I was asked by a member for somewhere to respond
I've put a link in but Do you think I should remove the link as some members can't see journals

Up to you Jim. If the member that asked can see journals then it's no problem. If anyone lower than 10 posts wants to see your journal then they better get posting if they want to read it.

Don't worry Caroline I won't be coming off Fumaderm any time soon ....it's the rheumatologist that wants me back on methotrexate ....but I'm not giving in

Today just a note to remind me in future to heed Bills warning about eating bananas. Up till now I've never had a bad effect from eating them

A few weeks ago we started making fruit smoothies as a way to enjoy fruit,
Strawberries ,raspberries ,melon , Apple, pear, and mangos have all been blitzed into great tasting smoothies

2 weeks ago I added bananas to the mix....and have had trouble ever since, most days I have suffered awful cramps and had to make a dash for the toilet more than once

So I'm putting it down to the bananas and leaving those out of the smoothies to see if the pains disappear

It sure is a ratbaggy illness, Jim. My big hassle with dosing is the ensuing reflux. and I am finding that cysteine helps me with this. I get a bit of reflux if I eat bananas. Maybe this is of relevance but I dont know. Bananas and DMF are a memory I want to make as distant as possible.

Cheers,

Bill

I have no trouble with reflux and didn't get any abdominal disturbance Confused until I put a few bananas in the smoothies ....the rest have been consigned to the bin

How long does your reflux last after taking your dose of DMF ? Have you got any closer to encapsulating the raw material? To help get it through your stomach

I think I won't bother with cysteine unless the side effects continue to affect me,
