Patience is a good idea, it should keep working for the long haul and hopefully you will be able to reduce the dose after a while. Without it affecting the psoriasis clearance.

I still keep some dovobet which does help if a new spot erupts ... I use it very sparingly, but it may be worth trying a little Dovonex instead of Dovobet as its not a steroid but a vitamin derivative and may work in conjuction with the Fumaderm

Dovonex - i'm pretty sure thats one of those on my 'useless ' hitlist.

The dermo gave me Eumovate along with the Fumaderm tabs on Wednesday, but i dont know this cream, so it could be good, or resigned to the hitlist

Eumovate cream is a moderately potent topical corticosteroid indicated for adults, elderly, children and infants for the relief of the inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of steroid responsive dermatoses.

Maybe the dermatologist thinks that the topical will get rid of the spots within four weeks? As there is no major coverage the dosage will be low.

The wine should keep for a bit, but beer will go stale. I had wondered whether you had taken alcohol with the mtx to cause a liver problem, but it seems not to be the case. If mtx can do that to you on its own it goes to show how toxic it must be.

Well the pink spots disappeared before i got to the Demo lady, so not sure why it was given. The different skin colour is what remains at the moment, well at least until the next mild flare up.

And yes, i wasn't knocking back copious amounts of turps during MTX, but i probably had a few beers over the course of a year that i was on the drug.

And i believe you about the toxicity.

Yes I thought that too, looks like it's a slap it on and try for a few weeks mate. It's not as strong as Dovobet but do remember it is still a corticosteroid.

Will do fred - 4 weeks and stop, and maybe leave it for a couple of months. May even not need it again,, who knows

You could be lucky.

I always keep a tube of Dovobet as its the only thing that can help on the rare occasion I get a flare up between my toes, I put it on every other day for a week and it seems to work. But that's me, and it's not the recommended way of using it and it has thinned the skin between my toes.

I'm not sure about Eumovate but I have found in the past it's best to slowly wean yourself off of Dovobet to avoid any problems, if you suddenly stop using it it can cause a flare.

Was the Eumovate suggested for the skin discolouration? You might want to check.
