n-acetyl cysteine would be the one. I hope it helps and is not a waste of your money. And if you dont have drug scales then stay away from raw DMF. That stuff you have to measure very carefully.

Ok, N-ACETYL CYSTEINE  is on my list.

Bill, what do you recommend as a starting dose, considering i will still be taking 6 x 120mg  Fuma per day ?

Thanks, that is good to know. I bought the cheapest stuff I could find. I take about 1 gram of l-cysteine twice a day. I am not sure how it equates to nac, but I did notice a reduction in inflammation within a couple of weeks.

Just looked at the capsules. Extortionately expensive. $30 for capsules compared with about $2 for the powder equivalent. You could buy drug scales and powder as a one off and still save a heap. L-cysteine at least has other uses, such as clearing phlegm if you have a cold, so at least if it does not work for your p you can have another use for it.

You noticed a reduction of inflammation after taking Cysteine ..  does that mean your DMF powder was not working so well , or did you start on Cysteine first then add DMF powder later ?

I'm thinking ( perhaps incorrectly ) that if Cysteine reduced your inflammation, why go to all that trouble you seem to go through with DMF ?

Yeah you maybe right there Bill.  I'm wondering though, before i delve into powder and scales level, that i'm going to try the capsules first. If i were to take your dosage, thats  4 x 500mg  capsules per day -  2000mg

200 caps is 50 days supply for £21.  I can live with that if i get results by the time i run out of caps.  If this stuff hasnt worked by then, 50 days,  i'll know there's no need to go to the expense of buying some scales and then powder.

If it does work, then i'll invest further and buy scales, and then powder form Cysteine

I started with DMF, but as it is potentially very harmful I want to minimise the dosage. As it reduced my p and psa, I noticed that other treatments started working again, so I was on a topical as well as cysteine. I stopped taking DMF when I caught a cold (probably influenza) and noted that the cysteine and topical were doing a good job. However, I have noticed a bit of arthritis, so I will still probably need to take DMF in future, but hopefully only once or twice a week.
