Hi all,  my son also has psoriasis, he is 11 and has suffered with this condition for two yrs, he has had numerous creams that haven't worked and now is about to embark on methotrexate, I know this works well and I am familiar with it having used it previously my self, would love to hear your thoughts, x

I'm not a lover of Methotrexate myself, and 11 seems very young to be going on to it. But you and your dermatologist know best. Sorry but that's just my opinion, and if you use the search facility here you will find threads from people who swear by it.

But please do keep us informed of his progress, as it will help others.

Thank you, I too thought he was a bit young, but he is young and fit and healthy so no worries there, jack has had his blood tests done and we are back to see the consultant in four weeks, I will keep you updated on his treatment, thanks, x

BTW there are also threads where people explain why they are absolutely against the use of MTX..... (e.g. written by me )
