You are welcome, Grizzly. The batch of topical I made last week is working a treat in conjunction with the DMF.

Cheers,

Bill

By a girlfriend who has connections with our national psoriasis association I was pointed to a product called: Alfurin

Does anyone has ever heard of it?
What is it and what does it?

Ingredients: Single plant extract drawn from the bark of the Indian wood apple tree (Limonia acidissima)

Got a NPF seal of recognition  Big Grin which usually means they donate  Whistle

I couldn't find any peer-reviewed clinical trial data specifically in publicly indexed medical literature.

Describes itself as a "global biopharmaceutical company" with "Phase III trials" for plaque psoriasis, genuine Phase III-stage psoriasis programmes are visible to the public, I couldn't find anything.

Three testimonials shown on their website only have first name plus initial  91

I would recommend getting more information if you can before trying it but that's all I could find.

Oops.. that is awful little information.
She says that the company was trying to contact her because of her role in the association I guess. By the way, she is of Indian origin, maybe that has a relationship why they try to contact her.

Isn’t aspirin originally made from extracts from the bark of a tree? And I think they use a compound from it in psoriasis - salicylic acid, so maybe it’s a similar thing?

No you could be right according to someone from our Special Branch Big Grin

Quote:
A precursor to aspirin found in the bark of the willow tree (genus Salix), salicin, is metabolized in the human gut into the medicinally active compound salicylic acid and has been used for its health effects for at least 2,400 years.

Bayer, established the chemical structure and devised more efficient production methods.
