Thanks, Fred. I'd also point out that Jim pays £1 for a quantity of dimethyl fumarate that I pay a cent for, so you could imagine how pleased I am to be paying 40 cents a week instead of £40 for what is essentially the same thing.

Cheers,

Bill

That's very true Bill that is around the cost of my medication, but fortunately I'm of an age where my prescriptions are free  Wink
When I was younger I paid for an annual prepayment certificate which used to cost around £100 a years.
But certainly if I lived anywhere where I could not get the tablets I think I would go your route  Thumb

Blimey Bill, i have just read your posts on Dimethylfumarates.

I don't think i will be rushing to get that stuff with the side effects & with the headaches etc mate.

Though i hope it is working for you Bill.

Thanks, Grizzly. Given the severity of the disease the side effects are nothing. Now that I have worked out a more effective way to take the drug the side effects are much ameliorated and I have a routine to cope with them. The drug is working a treat with my skin nearly clear and the arthritis much reduced. My spine continues to improve and I am regaining movement in my neck. I remain very confident of further improvement.

Cheers,

Bill

Well, it's arrived.

I have just opened this stockholm tar liquid....................WOW.

It's so strong that it burnt the hair up my nose as i sniffed the contents !

Off to do some mixing.

Thank you Bill for putting me on to this.

Good luck, Grizzly. The shampoo is easiest to make but it is quite desiccating for scalp and skin. With the tar I bought from the horsey shop, 500 mls of 5% tar shampoo costs me a bit under $2-50 AU instead of just under $30 AU. The four litres I bought paid for itself after a few batches. Still, once the disease gets beyond a certain point you really need to consider systemics.

Cheers,

Bill

Bill, what mix % do you make this stuff for shampoo wise mate ?

What do you put stockholm tar too to make your shampoo ?

I've put some in the t-gel bottle but i think i put too much stockholm in, hy head was rather warm after a few seconds so i rinsed it off pretty pronto i can tell you lol

Anywhere from 1%-5%. So for a 500ml bottle of shampoo you might start by adding tar in 5 gram increments until you find something you are happy with. Similarly, you might add your overly tarred shampoo to an unadulterated shampoo until you find something that suits you.

Cheers,

Bill
