It looks like they are trialling 1 shot every 4 weeks instead of 2 every 8 weeks for psoriatic arthritis, so I'll ask next May.

I won't bother them with blood tests, it's not so bad today and I can live with it.  Thumb

I'm glad it's better today, Fred.

Update: Just had my two maintenance shots, they got the syringes this time which was nice.

About 4 weeks ago I got a psoriatic arthritis flare and my score shot up from 1 to 9, I'm not sure what caused it but did wonder if it was me not liking the pen type shots. I will now have to wait and see if it goes back down because I'm happier with the syringes.

I have sent an email to my dermatologist asking if I can try one shot every 4 weeks as it does seem to tail off after week 6, but she is on holiday so I stuck to the two shots for now.

Have got a few tiny bits of psoriasis here and there but nothing too get worried about, so I'll put my psoriasis score up from 0 to 1.

Psoriatic arthritis score is down from 9 to 5 hopefully it will go back down a bit more.

No side effects to report.

Update: It was time for my maintenance shots today, but I'm trying something different this time. Instead of taking both shots of 160mg for 8 weeks I have taken one and will take the other one at week four. I did contact my dermatologist to see what she thought but as she is now head of department I don't think she has the time, so I'm going to give it a try and see how it goes.

The reason I'm trying one shot every 4 weeks is because I've noticed a little tail off around week 6 for the psoriatic arthritis and I have read that Bimzelx do now recommend 160mg every 4 weeks for psoriatic arthritis, but still 2 shots every 8 weeks if the patient has moderate to severe psoriasis, I have zero psoriasis now so it's got to be worth a go.

Psoriasis score: 0

Psoriatic arthritis score: 3

No side effects.

Sensible move I think.
