Reactine = Cetirizine = Zyrtec so I have heard of it after all. Zyrtec helps with my allergy type symptoms but I didn't notice it helping with itching. But I haven't ever tried it specifically for itching so it's possible it did help some and I didn't notice.

So glad your daughter was safe Forest.

Itching actually can be harmful to the skin. Well the itching isn't it's the scratching part. Other than possible bacteria from fingernails, scratching causes the top protective layer of skin to breakdown and allows irritants and pathogens into your skin. But it sure is difficult to ignore the itch and not scratch. Confused

Yes indeed Kat.
You can scratch but should never break the skin and that is difficult!

But it is certainly very stressful if your kid is on the road and is late and cannot be reached. Children are the most important relatives in the world. Smile

Glad I don't have to worry about my daughter driving yet!!!!

I found also Gold Bond Soothing cream really helped.

As for Reactine and Benadryl, I'm sure there are other brands also that you could try
