A couple of shampoos
I think about 3 prescription creams
One oral med
Three biologics
Light treatment as well as laser light treatment

I haven't tried diet although technically I guess I am now with going with no dairy. But I didn't check that one as I'm not technically doing it for the psoriasis (which is a good thing because if I was I'd have to list it as a failure, psoriasis has had no change so far due to me eating better and specifically going to little or no dairy, sugar and white flour and very little meat.

I've had some short term successes but nothing that has totally cleared up my scalp.

Prescription creams (dovobet and others I don't remember including one for the scalp which made my hair extremely greasy so that didn't last)

Shampoos

Oral: MTX, leflunomide and azathioprine (this one was prescribed due to lupus after 2018 episode but is also used for psoriasis and PSA)

Biologics: humira, stelara, Cosentyx and now on Simponi

I only tried it on my scalp, it did help get the flakes off but it didn't last long and just made my scalp sore and stinky. But that was many years ago, I'm not sure if they still use it these days.

I have been in hospital a couple of times with P and the first time I was wrapped up in thick bandages with coal tar coated all on the inside. That's a very long time ago and now they have at least some more sophisticated treatment.

So this suggests that TL’s question is very valid...
What is it for? And why do they use it.....still...
What is in coal tar, that it should be useful for your psoriasis, does anyone know?
Looooong time ago, I have used a coal tar shampoo, but it did not have a mentionable effect on the skin between my hair either.
