thanks for your input Jim. However, been on Psorinovo ( also DMF ) for years and it stopped working for me, presumably because there are some stress factors in my life that I have little influence on.
Nothing wrong with living a slightly extreme healthy lifestyle for now Smile  I think I'm also losing weight as we speak and I'm quite perky! Where is my bag of carrots?  =]

Have you exhausted your drug options (I was thinking Apremilast/Otezla, although I have read that it can be pretty yuck as well)? Flu every month sounds horrible.

Good luck with your dieting, ArteMie. Thumb

thanks Bill =]

Just don't have the heart to try another right now, took me from the 16th of january up till now to make my mind up, couldn't work up the courage as both Humira and Stelara were such a personal nightmare.

. o O  but maybe all this healthy food and cutting out fried food, processed stuff, additives, nightshades, sugar,  and bread/pasta/gluten/grains is terribly terribly unhealthy   Bigarm

I don't blame you ArteMie. I turn red as a beetroot and feel crappy for about five hours every time I take my drug. That is the trade off for feeling better the rest of the time.

A healthy diet sounds very worthwhile. I shall follow your progress with much interest.

Cheers

Soooo, minus 9 kilo, not much progress yet but full on Paleo AIP diet. From reading user success stories I gather it can take as long as 1 tot 2 years, albeit some people go into remission sooner. But I haven't quite quit the alcohol yet, so that could be a culprit. I have decreased the use tho. Cooking loads of fresh, additive food and eating my greens =]

Before the end of september I was doing just Paleo and going crazy on nuts and ricecrackers but after reading more it would seem lectins in seeds, nuts and grains are a big trigger and a no-no on the elimination phase of the diet. Likely I can do some reintroduction after this long haul, like Alan has done.

But hey, minus 9 kilo since the 22th of july, I'm now a healthy weight. Extra weight increases Psoriasis and severity, so that's good.

Well done on losing 9 kilo's Artemie Clap

I could do with losing that and a bit more, but I couldn't stick to that as I enjoy my food and drink. Rolleyes

But well done to you and anyone that can keep it up. 78

Wow Artemie I'm impressed with your determination and your persistence 9 kilo loss is amazing. And hopefully you see a difference not just in your weight and shape but I'm sure it lifts your self confidence and energy levels, and that should help with the psoriasis  combined with the diet
I wish you good luck and hope to read more soon
Wine and cider are my big problem they are what keeps the weight on me ....so I wish you luck in cutting them down  ...although you need some guilty pleasures in life
And yes you should be  dead proud of your achievement  Clap  Clap

Very good ArteMie. !!
Wow 9 kilo’s loss.... I would want that too... but perhaps that would make me a bit skinny.
But I certainly agree that a higher weight together with Psoriasis may make you more vulnerable with comorbidities. That was the stretch of the presentation of dr. Njoo at the World Psoriasis Day meeting over here in the Netherlands
