For reference:

Got a nasty cold sore on my lip, and I had a small one in my nose a couple of weeks ago. I have looked back through my locked copy of this thread and it's almost two years ago that I was given some pills for from the doctor, so I think if I get another one after this I will go back for some more.

Cold sores can be a problem with some bio's if you were ever prone to them before like I was. But the course of pills (can't remember what they were) have kept it in check for almost a couple of years.

Apartt from that. Whilst I'm here psoriatic arthritis is still keeping away and I only feel it a little if it's going to rain or when I wake up in the morning, but nothing enough to bother me.

As for the psoriasis, I'm still using the diprosone and enstilar occasionally if I get a flare up. And it has never fully gone from my shins.

Thank you Jim. I used to get them real bad as a kid, but they seem to sap more out me as I get older.

Fred, you have doing much work of late upgrading PC. Have you been getting enough sleep? Very good to hear that your arthritis is in check.

Cheers

Good point Bill. What sleep I have been getting has not been good due to the heatwave. I do feel tired and run down and we have another heatwave coming this week.

I need a cave.

It gets very hot where I live Fred. On the hottest nights I sleep with a fan on me. My toy poodles spread out on the floor tiles to cool down. Make sure you drink plenty of fluids.

Our old Great Dane used to spread out on the tiles too, but I've not tried it myself. Big Grin

Usually I'm not so bad with the heat here as it's different to the UK and not a sticky heavy heat, but this year instead of gradually getting hotter over the course of the year it's come in big heatwaves.

Yep drinking plenty of water and keeping out of the sun.

Had my dermatology appointment today and it's a so-so result.

The psoriatic arthritis is still almost gone apart from one middle finger that has a little swelling but no pain, that's the good bit.

Now for the bad bit. What I thought was still Heat Rash on my stomach apparently is not. She thinks it is either being caused by the Cosentyx or the psoriasis spreading.

After a long chat we have decided to carry on with Cosentyx for another 6 months and I have also had a biopsy so we can confirm exactly what it is.

So it looks like I may have to start doing a lot of thinking about my next move, if it is indeed the Cosentyx causing it I will have to stop using it. On the other hand if it is psoriasis I will have to decide whether to carry on or move onto Taltz or Tremfya.

Psoriatic arthritis score: 1

Psoriasis Score: I'm scoring up from 4 to 9

I hope it isn't the psoriasis coming back or worse a side effect of cosentyx, and agree that it's wise to run for a few more months in the hope that it goes away. Hopefully the biopsy will find what it is. And there are the alternatives as you say to move to if necessary, here's hoping you can stay with it as it's been so good for the psoriatic arthritis

sounds like giving it more time is a good option for you, hope it may continue to do you good(ish) and first and all: pain free.
