It's good Jim that you are holding your own and are keeping well.
The NHS is a badly run organisation and it's now about time it was sorted out,my dermatologist is seldom late knows me by my first name and is really good, guess what,he is private at the Spire. If they can do it why can't the NHS , I am NHS by the way it's just that he is on contract to them and the difference is astounding they have two people on the reception not two receptions with four people on them like our local hospital.

Great results, Jim. I really don't see why you couldn't be managed by your GP as you have worked out an effective dosing regime. Your main needs at present are blood tests and scripts. You should only need to see a dermatologist if things start going awry.

I think it's because certain treatments can only be prescribed by dermatologist. GP's here can only prescribe topicals, so my guess is the UK is the same Bill.

It might be the rules, Fred, but it is a waste of resources.

But It is not everywhere the same. In The Netherlands you can get kind of a release document for the GP to prescribe chronic medications. It is signed by the derm and therefore valid for pharmacy and insurance.
A logical, cheap and easy way to go, but we Dutch are quite logical.  Big Grin
So don’t rule everything out, based on suspicion, you only are sure when you have tried.

We are all regulated by what is available in our country.

But I'll leave it there as this is Jim's thread.

6 February 2019

Been too long since I've added to my thread mainly because nothing has changed I have monthly blood test that show that my lymphocytes hovering between 1.1 and 1.25  are well within the normal range and my liver and kidney function is still good

I have a bit of psoriasis still an the edge of my scalp and I do occasionally use enstilar, but as I don't use it regularly it's not doing anything and the small patch I have is on the hairline behind my ears and isn't causing any discomfort and is not visible

Psoriatic arthritis is not a great problem but I never get a good nights sleep as my shoulder pain will usually wake me and it takes a while in the mornings to get my feet going ..but I feel the Fumaderm is doing a good job keeping at at an acceptable level

I have noticed that my mood has changed recently but I doubt after seven years on fumaderm that it's that that's causing me to be moody and lethargic  ...Im hoping it's the winter blues and as spring arrives I'm hopeful I will perk up

Nothing to report is always worth reporting Jim as it means all is good.

I find the Winter Blues gets me too, so I doubt your mood swing is anything to do with Fumaderm.

Copy moved as requested. Thumb
