After three weeks and the initial moult, the nature of my plaques has changed, they are thinner but seem redder and angrier they also seem to be spreading.  I haven't experienced shedding palms or soles or the greasiness reported by some though. Dry lips and mouth for sure and my skin generally seems thinner and easier to cause bleeding.  I'm also experiencing an increase in how itchy I am and have noticed a significant increase in joint pain and my lower back in particular.  Another thing I'm noticing is mood changes, specifically my moods are more extreme be they good or bad.

Re the joint pain, Craig, I would be wanting an opinion from a rheumatologist. If you are getting psa you certainly don't want to be wasting any time, plus it will make it easier for you to try some biologics, which may be more effective for you. psa sucks.

Thanks Bill, I will get a referral to a rheumatologist. As it happens my dermatologist said Acitretin was the last hurdle before I could try biologicals.

And it doesn’t seem to solve your Psoriasis, as i can see from your description. Then indeed the bio's are the next step for you. Too bad you can’t try DMF.
I hope together with Bill that you indeed won’t get PsA.

And if it is psa the methotrexate could have been controlling it. Good that the bios are next for you.

It seems it’s not doing its job Craig and if the joints are suffering, it looks like time to move on, although saying that 3 weeks isn’t long for acetretin to work on the Psoriasis  but the joints and moods need to be taken into account. And in my opinion yes it might be time to move on to a bio.

given the time of year, it's going to be quite a few weeks before I can do anything about this so the neotigason should have ample opportunity to redeem its self before I can access bio's
