Has anyone else tried this? My doctor put me on it this summer and I've been 100% clear since. No flare ups, 100% clear for the first time in 20 years. Very happy!
Has anyone tried Siliq

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome!
I was on Enbrel. Then Humira, that lasted three years. My doctor switched me to Stelara after that. Stelara was ok, but left me spotty and I didn't like the side effects. I switched to Cosyntex in 2015 when it first came out. It worked better than Stelara, I didn't have so many side affects but it still left me spotty. I signed up for Siliq whe it came out over the summer. I'm happy I did, for the first time in 20 years of trying to rip my skin off, I'm 100% clear! There is a suicide warning and you have to consent and get your doctor to sign up to it. I read up on the original study. I think it was just statistical noise, there were 6 cases of suicide in a 6000 person study, and one of it was actually an overdose. There was no showing of causation. If it had been two or three, I don't think the FDA would have cared. Personally I haven't felt depressed or whatever, just happy and hoping this drug lasts a good long time. Take the warning with a grain of salt. I just wanted to let people know this works, in my case it was completely clear skin for the first time in a very long time. The long duration efficacy data is encouraging, Ill let people know how it works out over time, but so far no complains If anyone else have tried this and want to compare notes please post and let me know, Thanks!

Good to hear something positive about Siliq for a change. There is nothing better than getting it from the horses mouth so to speak.
Please do keep the thread updated as I'm sure it will be of interest to others.

Thanks for your story, very valuable.
Once again it shows how different we all can be, as e.g. lots of people have very good results with Stelara. You did not, but found this Siliq to be excellent for you.

Hi Evan, would you mind saying what the side effects were with Stelara?

Very happy! I just started 2 weeks ago. Did your bones hurt. My pelvis hurts so bad it takes my breath away. I want to feel it is not caused by Siliq because I also take cholesterol meds and they just changed. 1 shot a week for the first 3 weeks then 1 shot every 2 weeks then we will look where we are at. It is looking good but the pain in the bone is so hard to bare.

Hi Kathy I just popped in to say even though I can’t be any help to you with your problem apart than to say hopefully Evan will be monitoring this thread and may be able to help
Often when starting a treatment you will experience side effects that subside as your body learns to accept the new drug However it is worth mentioning to your dermatologist who will decide if it problematical and needs a rethink Enjoy the club and feel free to start your own thread about your siliq experience Good luck Jim |
