You can't, if you're going to get it you will. So there isn't much you can do.

You probably won't get it especially as you had as a teenager, I think my problem was because I had it at a very young age and didn't build up the immunity. I have also known a couple of other people get it in adult life.

But I would still mention it on Monday and ask their advice, and it's a good idea to keep them informed.

Week 2:
Lots of improvement in the first week but a bump in the road with new p coming up.
Was starting to clear on arms, torso, neck and chest. Scalp is clearing but I don't get much on my scalp. Half of me looks ok. The other half my dear legs isn't. Legs are always stubborn for me. They were looking like they were improving but coming towards week2 they have some what seem to be more itchy raised again and more irritable. Can't sleep because of them. They feel hot and warm. Not making me feel so great. Slapping on loads of moisturising cream to smooth it. Although not great the legs do not look as red as they were before my first injection. 

Skin feels like sandpaper at the moment how lovely... NOT

Still new spots creeping up on my cleared arms though and I'm keeping an eye on it.

Half way point till booster injection not sure if I can get through it if it doesn't continue to improve...

Oh spotless I hope it's just a blip and you will continue to get clearance with Stelara. I haven't been on it myself so I don't know if it's usual at the start to get the reactions you are having, but I hope you are able to stick with it as it is working on most of your skin. I'm sure some of our Stelara users will have better advice for you ..... I do know with many treatments it's not unusual for psoriasis to appear to get worse before it gets better ....

If the itch is really bad phone dermatology and ask if you can take antihistamine tablets or use a sting relief cream .... that might make it more bearable  

You are only on week 2 so already something is happening which indicates that it is starting to work and do something. Everyone reacts in a different way so if you are worried or need to take the itch away just contact the derm . It's not probably getting worse only different so don't expect miracles ,I would suspect that when you have your second injection at 4 weeks you will really start to see an improvement.

Thanks Foster, I'm just impatient and your probably right it's just different not worst. 
This flare has been just one of the longest for me and I guess I'm just in a downer at the moment. It is very early days... so need to man up and get through it. Seeing my nurse next week for a check up so will see what she says.

Yes spotty you will be OK just slap loads of moisturiser on and ignore it all. See what the nurse say's when you see her but really you have done very well and had no major side effects so don't worry .
