No I don't need to. The hair never grew back after having my veins removed, so no more shaving for me.

I am glad that the inflammatory marker and arthritis scores are nil, Fred. Without them psoriasis really does become a few annoying spots. Are there topicals you would use other than a steroid? Even when I was covered I was not tempted.

Hello Bill, the diprosone did help but I decided to come off and wait till I see my dermatologist. Though I wouldn't want to use them long term it may be worth trying to get it back on track to let the cosentyx keep it down.

There is something going on as I woke up with a cold sore this morning and now my right hand looks like it's swelling up, not sure what is going on there as it doesn't hurt and I haven’t knocked it.

So maybe the flare up and the cold sore are related and there is something going on inside. Don't know if it's to do with the swelling, but I'll keep an eye on it.

It could be viral, Fred. With the cold sore virus you can get herpetic whitlows. At least you can get it checked.

Yes I'm up there next Monday Bill so will mention it then.

Back from dermatology, and oops I forgot to mention about my hand swelling up and the cold sore because they have gone now.

Anyway good news. She said she was happy to give me another six months supply of Cosentyx and was impressed with the psoriatic arthritis. As for the psoriasis flare up, it has started going down on it's own so she has given me some more Diprosone to help get back on top of it. This time she has given me an open prescription so I can get some as and when I need it, so I won't have to blag some from my pharmacie.  

Psoriasis score down to 4 it seems to be calming down.

Psoriatic arthritis score still at 1, but to be honest it could be zero since my last shot as I don’t feel any psoriatic arthritis at all.

10 Months now and no problems or side effects, and all bloods are perfect.

Next shot this Saturday 5 August.

Great you're keeping on the Cosentyx as it's working so well for the arthritis ....and it's good to hear the psoriasis has calmed down and you have got some cream to help .....what is diprosone ?

Thank you Jim.

Diprosone comes in cream or gel available on prescription. I prefer the cream, it's a mild corticosteroid and I find it helps knock down a flare up.

Ingredients:
Chlorocresol
Sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate
Phosphoric acid
White soft paraffin
Liquid paraffin
Cetomacrogol 1000
Cetostearyl alcohol
Sodium hydroxide
Purified water
