Time for an update as it looks like a flare up is coming with the psoriasis.

I have some small flat red patches under the armpits and the groin area, also I have noted a few small raised areas of plaque on my legs and elbows. It's been coming on the past few days, but today it's looking worse.

I have an appointment with my dermatologist at the end of July so until then I'm going to try and get it down with some Diprosone for a week, then I'll switch to every other day before stopping it and see how it goes.

Psoriatic arthritis score: 1 (if there was a 1/2 I would use that)  Smile

Psoriasis score: up from 1 to 6  Confused

Oooh no Fred I hope it's just a blip and not Cosentyx failing you ....could the flare be caused by stress do you think..can you think of anything? Maybe illness somewhere in the family, or maybe computer problems.....I'm hoping it's something that will pass, as cosentyx seems so good from other reviews......the fact that it's working so well on the arthritis means surely it should keep your plaques down

Is it nearly time for your next injection?

Whatever the cause I hope it soon starts working on your skin again buddy

Next shot isn't till next Saturday So I'm just over half way.

Yes I did think I could be a bit wound up and that is what is causing it. I recently lost all my stuff on the computer and have spent the last few days sorting it out, I'm getting there now so things should calm down soon.

At the moment I'm not that bothered at the moment as the psoriatic arthritis is great, but thought it best to keep a record so I have something to look back on.

That makes a very good sense Fred, I will remember to add something to my Journal. Wink

You stay cool. It may very well be that you were quite shaken up by the computer trouble. But you can relax now, you are under Ubuntu, and I have a spare pc ready for you, hihi. Tongue

aaah no, hope it settles down soon and it's just a blip. Flaring up because of Things of Life is not uncommon as we all know, of course. And not uncommon after being on a medicine for a while. Makes me wonder, how long have you been on Cosentyx? (if this is the right place to ask)

Thank you Artemie, I have been on Cosentyx just over six months now. And yes you can ask here, or send a message tied to a pigeon. Or if you're that bored I also have this thread:  [Group Specific]  Big Grin

I'm sure it's just a blip and will sort itself out in a couple of weeks.  Smile

So pleased to hear that Cosentyx is treating you so well Fred long may it continue. There is a definite positivity to your voice and I'm sure that is helping as well.

Quick update as I just got my bloods checked.

All bloods good, but the best of all is the Proteine C Reactive. I got a reading of < 1 mg/L  87  The reference figure is below 5 and this time last year I was > 11. So I'm very pleased.

Feeling NO psoriatic arthritis symptoms at all.

My Diprosone experiment is working and the psoriasis is back down to 3. So I've started weaning myself off it and using Coconut oil every other day, and will stop using it after the week end.

Next Cosentyx shot tomorrow.
