Hi All

Started Pyzchiva on 18th June 2025, thought I would wait to see how it
was going before posting.

Well maybe a coincidence but had a slight headache on and off for about 5
days afterwards.

I have had pain in one shoulder , slightly progressing down arm some days
for about 4 weeks.  I sometimes suffer neck pain etc and blame it on pillows,
lifting etc.  Slight pain in one knee.  I have never been diagnosed with any type of arthritis,
I suffer from aches and pains but put that down to age! this time the pain is not for
going away, I await next jag to see if there is any difference.  I do not have
any swelling of fingers etc.

Skin remains the same as when taking Stelara, small bit appears on elbow and
goes again.  Flakes in ear remain the same.

No other issues or notable side effects.

Due next dose this week and will keep this thread updated.

Hope you are all well.

Hello Angie good to see you again, I have put a link to this thread in your old one.  Thumb

I'm surprised they have moved you from Stelara to Pyzchiva as it's a biosimilar of Stelara, I can only think it's due to cost and I would have thought you will get the same result you had from Stelara.

The headache and pain could be from other ingredients in Pyschiva and it may take your body a little time to get used to it.

I hope it works as well as Stelara for you, and look forward to your updates as I think you are our first member to be taking it.

Good luck.  Thumb

Thanks Fred.

Yes definitely down to cost, apparently quarter of the Stelara cost.

Fingers crossed.

Oh did you see I started thread under help, couldn’t delete it  Tongue

Hi All

Update of Pyzchiva.

Attended Derm yesterday and seen my consultant who I have not seen
for almost 8 years.  She had requested to see me as I had asked for a
prescription for Pigmanorm for Hyperpigmentation.  She wanted to know
how often I used this for my face as it could turn the skin blue if used too
much. (There is a name for this, but I can't remember  Huh .

Was good to see her again and I explained that I purchase this on private
prescription and barely use it, the reason being once my skin starts to peel
off (taking the make up with it !) I stop using it and go back and fourth when
the pigment annoys me.  So no need to check for the blue skin.  She has
prescribed me 20% Azelatic Acid (which they are now able to prescribe),
which I can alternate with.

I did mention to her that I had been having pain in shoulder and knee, I have
been keeping note of this and it did get better around 3 weeks after having
my injection.  If it is the case, I have PSA and the Stelara has been keeping this
at bay I think that the Pyzchiva is not.  I haven't had any major problems with
joints apart from getting old.

Her response was to tell me that they are noting everything they are told as the
Pyzchiva is new to them.  I asked if anyone else having issues and she said she
has patients that are new to biologics put on this and are not doing very well.

The fact that I have two joints affected and a couple of other things going on,
she has referred me to rheumatology but there is a very long waiting list.  I will
keep note of any ups and downs , dates etc to see if a pattern emerges.  I did
ask if I can revert to Stelera if need be and she said yes.  She did mention I had
been on Ustekinumab for 10 years, but I would rather go back to Stelera than
try a new biologic.

On the plus side the Pyzchiva is keeping the skin clear and I did not have any
headache after last dose.

Hope you are all well,

Angie  Bigarm

Hello Angie, sounds like you are getting well looked after. If you can go back to Stelara I would do that myself, better the devil etc.

Skin turning blue ................. Cyanosis ?

Good luck with rheumatology I've never had much luck with them for psoriatic arthritis.
