G'day guys I'm new to this forum I've had psoriasis since I was 18 I'm 35 now it's been on and off but at he moment it's the worst it's ever been so Im intersted if there is any new treatment my doc wants to try mega iv dose's of vitamin c and zinc , has any one tried this

I would say, read along, we all have our preferences, so if you look at the different posts of the visitors, you will find these preferences and their results.

I have never used your approach, and as far as I know is Vit C automatically removed from your body as it exceeds a certain level.

I would try to get your Vit C and Zinc by foods if you can.
Recommended Dietary Allowance of Zinc is 8 mg/day for women and 11 mg/day for men.
Vit C is a bit more difficult:
   40 milligrams per day: the United Kingdom's Food Standards Agency
   45 milligrams per day: the World Health Organization
   90 mg/day (males) and 75 mg/day (females): Health Canada 2007
   60–95 milligrams per day: United States' National Academy of Sciences.
The United States defined Tolerable Upper Intake Level for a 25-year-old male is 2,000 milligrams per day.

But megadoses are useless if you eat enough fruit and vegetables a day.. See the article. Megadoses will not increase the level of Vit C in your blood above a certain level.
