#1 What age did you think something was going wrong: I was in my 40's
#2 How many years later was it that you got a diagnoses: Less than a year
#3 When you got a diagnoses how did it make you feel: Not surprised my Mum has had it all her life
#4 What was your first treatment: Some horrible stinky thick gunge
#5 Did you think it was a temporary thing: The treatment or Psoriasis? The treatment, yes, I always new it was time limited. The Psoriasis I knew was going to be forever
#6 How long before you got to see a dermatologist: Under a year from seeing my GP he referred me to a local health centre where GP's with extra training treated certain conditions. Once their list of creams was exhausted I was referred by them to Dermatology
#7 What did you think of your first dermatologist: I liked them. Interestingly once I had been referred to Dermatology the GP was the same person I saw in the Dermy clinic. They worked there part time
#8 Have you ever given up on a prescribed treatment: Oh yes every single lotion, potion cream and gunk has ended up in the bin. Some only after a couple of days. Dovobet only lasted about 4 days before it ended up in the bin
#9 How do you feel you are being treated today: Quite reasonably. I have a good working relationship with my Dermy. Its just a shame they seem to have a bit of a downer on certain treatments.
#10 What would you say to the younger you at #1: Don't take any $h1t from the Dermys agree a concise treatment plan as soon as possible. Give up sooner on medication that isn't working. There is always something better.
