#1 What age did you think something was going wrong:    I was in my 40's

#2 How many years later was it that you got a diagnoses:   Less than a year

#3 When you got a diagnoses how did it make you feel:   Not surprised my Mum has had it all her life

#4 What was your first treatment:  Some horrible stinky thick gunge

#5 Did you think it was a temporary thing: The treatment or Psoriasis? The treatment, yes, I always new it was time limited. The Psoriasis I knew was going to be forever Confused

#6 How long before you got to see a dermatologist: Under a year from seeing my GP he referred me to a local health centre where GP's with extra training treated certain conditions. Once their list of creams was exhausted I was referred by them to Dermatology

#7 What did you think of your first dermatologist: I liked them. Interestingly once I had been referred to Dermatology the GP was the same person I saw in the Dermy clinic. They worked there part time

#8 Have you ever given up on a prescribed treatment: Oh yes every single lotion, potion cream and gunk has ended up in the bin. Some only after a couple of days. Dovobet only lasted about 4 days before it ended up in the bin

#9 How do you feel you are being treated today: Quite reasonably. I have a good working relationship with my Dermy. Its just a shame they seem to have a bit of a downer on certain treatments.

#10 What would you say to the younger you at #1: Don't take any $h1t from the Dermys agree a concise treatment plan as soon as possible. Give up sooner on medication that isn't working. There is always something better.

#1 What age did you think something was going wrong: 32, following a biopsy by a Dermatologist on a spider bite that wasn't healing

#2 How many years later was it that you got a diagnoses: 1

#3 When you got a diagnoses how did it make you feel: depressed and annoyed with the spider and the dermatologist

#4 What was your first treatment: Pinetarsol Solution and coal tar ointment

#5 Did you think it was a temporary thing: at first I did, it wasn't until I saw a second dermatologist several years later I realised the true situation

#6 How long before you got to see a dermatologist: immediately

#7 What did you think of your first dermatologist: he was a bit of an arrogant d*%k

#8 Have you ever given up on a prescribed treatment: yes, Humira, it started to fail and I saw my dermatologist to get a review, my regular dermatologist was away so saw the locum who prescribed Cosentyx

#9 How do you feel you are being treated today: I'm happy with my current treatment

#10 What would you say to the younger you at #1: First always question your doctor until you are satisfied with the their explanation and 728 10 20 11 30 31 (winning numbers for $100,000,000 lotto draw Thu, 12 Sep 2019)

Wooo hooo .....my copy paste worked this time  Smile

#1 What age did you think something was going wrong: 26

#2 How many years later was it that you got a diagnoses: 8

#3 When you got a diagnoses how did it make you feel: Nothing....I knew what I had....runs in the family (psoriasis).  That being said, I was extremely surprised when I got diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis....didn't know that existed and I am the only one in the family that has it.

#4 What was your first treatment: Dovobet for psoriasis in 2004 and MTX for the arthritis in 2008

#5 Did you think it was a temporary thing: No

#6 How long before you got to see a dermatologist: I went 8 years later as it was getting worse

#7 What did you think of your first dermatologist: batshit crazy, never went again and gave up on the Dovobet treatment after a month.

#8 Have you ever given up on a prescribed treatment: yes, topicals

#9 How do you feel you are being treated today: so so....I don't see a dermatologist anymore, just a rheumatologist that is not very good and sometimes feel like a guinea pig.  That being said, Simponi is working well for my arthritis although it's every three weeks instead of four.

#10 What would you say to the younger you at #1: Look around carefully, you will see that you are not alone!  Many people have skin issues (eczema, vitiligo, psoriasis, etc)
