Sounding quite positive and may take a while for the mtx to do it's magic ...but keep on with it while it's not causing any side effects

Yes sounds good, try the MTX by injection instead of oral, it's much better.

Some areas may take more time. Maybe the dose could be increased also?
Like Dave said, injection may be better....although that would entail weekly visits at your dermatologist

Now that I am back, I will update you all. So far things are working out. The Clobex has decreased the psoriasis in concert with the MTX. I am looking good in that regard. The places that isn't responding to MTX is my knees and all areas concerning my face and head. Those areas have reduced, but not to any significant extent. I think those areas are going to tell the tale as to how the MTX is really working. Clobex is done though. I am not going to use it again. No steroids for this lady...at least no more for now. I will have to inform my derm about my feelings on this and how I react to steroids. Not fun. It's good to hear from you, Shiela. I've been thinking of you. Are you doing okay with this move?

Annnnnd I had a close look at some pics of nail psoriasis. Guess what? I would bet $100 that I have it. *sigh* Several pics look exactly like my fingernails and toe nails.

I just thought I would mention here, that my psoriasis has been flaring up. Stress. It's impact is surprising to me still. My arms were clear pretty much, but now, there are red spots, scales and the start of the return of lesions. The stress and my strict observance of my diet is affecting me as I have let myself eat more gluten products. Time to get cracking on making gluten free bread at home and eating more veggies. Now that I have a new top denture, I can eat veggies a lot easier, especially carrots (my fave).
That's it for now, kids! TTFN

Do I you also make “green” smoothies? They also are said to be very healthy.
And I see that it for now is difficult to avoid stress… that is a point of attention. . |
