[split] Cosentyx started yesterday

Into 4th week of Cosentyx. Dramatic results and no side affects. That’s the good news.          

The dermatologist started me on samples before he had received preauthorization. Today my insurer, TRICARE, denied Cosentyx and will only approve Humeria(spelling?). Now, I have complete most of the five weeks of treatment and it has to stop unless our appeal is approved. I have been assured that it will NOT be approved.

What a mess.

Brilliant that it works so well for you and a shame they will pull the rug out and not approve it for continued use ...I don't know about your system over there, hopefully one if our American members might be able to help

That is really ‘sh*t’ Brookpark .
I really don’t understand the Insurance company. Changing to Humira may very well work, but that is not obvious and it may very well be that it does not work or only shortly, while the costs are very much alike. At least they are over here in the Netherlands.

If Humira doesn’t work, I hope it does of course, can you make the insurance responsible for that ?

Our insurance system is crazy isn't it?

Hopefully the Humira will work for you and if it doesn't then maybe that will help in getting Cosentyx approved.
