My Cosentyx journey begins

Happy 2018 all. I just had another round of Cosentyx right before the new year.

Things are going well, still 99.9% clear! Considering I have server plaque and pustular psoriasis with greater than 10% coverage of my body. The one piece of advice I can give you is take your dosage at the same time every 4 weeks, do not forget. I notice that when I forget and take it 3 days later I find my psoriasis seems to begin peeking back out.

Great to hear it's still doing well for you. I've not been so lucky where the psoriasis is concerned, so I'm now trying 3 weeks between shots.

Happy new year to you, thanks for the update, it’s interesting you say that it’s important not to go over time with your shot of cosentyx. Something I’ll bear in mind should I ever get as far as cosentyx.

So here I am 2.5 years into my Cosenytx journey and all is well. No side effects that I have to report.. No out breaks of psoriasis, I still continue to have it in my scalp however this only appears about 5 days before I am due for my shot. Once I get the shot the next day its is gone...

Good to see you around again Plaque32092 and thank you for updating your thread.

I am so pleased to hear Cosentyx is still working for you after 2.5 years. I'm finding it to be a great treatment for psoriatic arthritis but unfortunately not so good for the psoriasis. I have recently moved to 3 weeks between shots, but it doesn't look like it is going to help.

Long may it work for you, we are all different and reading your feedback about the treatment I'm sure will help others.

I just joined the Psoriasis club.  So I am newbie, searching around looking for information.  Your journey is so inspiring to me!!! I can' t tell you how happy I am to hear that you are 99.9% clear!!!

I have plaque psoriasis all over my legs, arms, back, head.  Just Miserable. Often I can't sleep well.  I am sure you know - as everyone on this site suffers.  

I am currently in light therapy - but without any success.  I am so fair skinned that as soon as I get up to a more healing level, I either burn or have a bad reaction.  

So my doctor has prescribed Cosentyx.  I have been scared about the suppressing my immune system etc.  But I am just so fed up with this disease!  I live in California, in the Santa Cruz mountains and my husband and I are very active like you.  

My insurance company says they will approve it no problem and the drug company called yesterday and told me they would provide the copay card so I would have no out of pocket expenses for this treatment. 

Your story, brings tears to my eyes and gives me hope!!
